What do you actually do?

I work with Defence to find candidates possessing high level security clearances to play crucial roles in the delivery of large scale technology initiatives, particularly within the cyber/intelligence sector.

 

What kinds of industries do you work across?

As a Talent Manager for Kinexus' TSPV Team, I specialise in recruiting ICT contracting professionals with TSPV security clearances for Australia's Defence & intelligence agencies. Leveraging a background in Canberra's Fed Gov contracting market, I strive to provide a knowledgeable, thoughtful and professional approach to recruitment.

 

What do your candidates rely on you for?

My candidates look to me for strong market insights and ongoing career support that takes an empathetic, thoughtful and realistic approach. I see myself as a consultant and not a transactional recruiter – I do this for the people, not the money.

 

How did you get here?

Coming from a retail background, I moved into my first recruitment role in late 2022 with a large recruitment organisation in Canberra. I specialised in Federal Government ICT contract roles with a focus on PMO positions, including Project/Change Managers, Project Support and Business Analysis. After moving to Sydney recently I spent some time recruiting in the blue-collar world, before getting back into the Government sector with Kinexus.

 

Something people might not know?

Outside of the office I love watching movies, reading and playing music. I’m currently playing bass for a pub rock band called the Midnight Howlers!
