Aircraft Life Support Fitter
Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Life Support (ALS) Fitter to deliver high-quality aviation technical training to Defence trainees in Sydney, NSW. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with some mentoring of people within the team. This role is crucial in ensuring that ALS systems are technically sound and serviceable. Candidates will understand the importance of professional and quality technical engineering.
This role would be ideal for former members or members looking to make a change who have an eye for detail, good interpersonal skills and technical ALS skills and experience.
The role:
- Be the Aircraft Life Support (ALS) SME
- Conduct technical assessments of ALS systems
- Maintain, inspect, and service Aircraft Life Support equipment
- Provide specialist technical advice and support to the program team
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Defence and industry stakeholders
To be successful:
- Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing or
Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment would be ideal. - Traceable Defence experience as an ALS Fitter or Aviation Maintenance Engineer
- Strong communication, instructional, and mentoring skills
- A professional approach with a strong focus on safety and compliance
- Experience working within a Defence or Defence aviation environment
- Previous instructional, coaching, or training experience would be beneficial
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- A current AGSVA NV1 clearance
