Multi discipline organisation providing vital professional and managed services to all major infrastructure industries. Key lead role as part of the senior management team. Due to recent success and growth, they have an immediate requirement for an experienced Bid Manager within their Defence business.

This is a senior role reporting to the General Manager in Australia and will be responsible for delivering winning bids within Defence and related industries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage bids preparation including analysis of request for proposal and defining the bid operational strategy.

• Senior stakeholder and partner engagement

• Propose and develop partnership and consortium opportunities.

• Coordinate with internal teams and senior management for legal, financial and insurance

• Identify, analyse and register risks and cost savings

• Ensure processes are followed and tender budgets are allocated

• Manage bid process through to customer negotiation communicating relevant changes and communicating pricing and costing of works

• Pre-tendering activities and opportunity identification

Experience Required:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related industry

• At least 10 years experience in a similar role within Defence

• Strong commercial, negotiation and financial skills

• Ability to form good relationships with clients and partners

• Previous experience in a Bid or Proposal Management role

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

• High level of work and productivity
