Our client is currently looking for someone with proven Naval experience to fill a Production Monitoring role. The candidate must be highly organised with a forward-thinking attitude. They must have a keen understanding of the Physical Configuration Auditing process during the build phase of a vessel.

The Role:

  • To build and maintain strong relationships with Commonwealth and Prime Contractor Personnel.
  • Deliver and review all regulatory and statutory requirements relating to Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Conduct Physical Configuration Audits of the vessels during the build stage.
  • Evaluate Physical Configuration documentation / data for accuracy and report accordingly
  • Support the Production Monitoring Lead and Project Engineers in all aspects of Physical Configuration Audits
  • This role would suit an ex CPO (Chief Petty Officer) or an ex WO (Warrant Officer) from the Navy.
  • Act as a Commonwealth witness during Harbour & sea-trials for the following tasks:
    • Welding inspections,
    • Mechanical system installation inspections
    • Piping installation inspections
    • Outfitting inspection
    • Witnessing of verification testing and demonstrated activities

Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised engineering degree, diploma or trade
  • Shipbuilding experience
  • Maritime Configuration Management experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent Communication and professional interpersonal skills
  • Comprehension of technical drawings and documentation
  • Knowledge and experience in Maritime classification Society requirements and documentation
  • Must hold a current or reinstatable Defence Security Clearance
