Senior Project Manager | Defence

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a part of digitizing The Australian Army. You will be a part of implementing the company Command and Control solutions throughout The Australian Army using an agile methodology.
The projects involve implementing our SitaWare and IRIS product suites into our customers' organizations, including a wide variety of training services; providing technical support as preparation for military exercises and test events; architectural, technical and operational guidance to ensure optimal use of our products; quality assurance activities and development of integration and extension modules. You will be working with many different branches within the customers organization as well as their international and domestic partners.
You will be an important driving force within our Agile Environment and help our customers learn and execute in the best Agile way. You will be working at our Canberra office together with a strong service team and provide Agile Services. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day business and help our Account Manager in expanding our offerings within Australia and additional markets. In other words, you make sure all the capabilities we provide through our Solutions and Services are well integrated, configured, implemented and deployed in the customer environment.
The job requires a sales mindset and also includes gathering knowledge about the customer's way of doing business and feeding this back to the company to guide and inspire the SitaWare and IRIS product suite roadmap and development. Here, you will need to keep up to date with the companies Defence offerings while also acting directly as a consultant for our customers or bringing into play the right colleagues who can help our customers to improve their business.
Your key tasks include:
Leading agile projects
Coordinating activities between the service delivery team, the customer, and our headquarters
Collaborating with the Account Manager in sales activities, such as sales meetings, proposal writings, and ensuring technical support and material for workshops
Managing projects through KPIs, management briefings, business committee meetings etc.
Combining your customer and business understanding with your technical insights

Proactive Project Manager with IT skills
We imagine that you have a bachelor or master's degree within IT and skills that match PMI, Prince2 or IPMA level B/C. You have experience as an Agile Project Manager and have proven results running complex IT projects in a busy environment. You possess leadership experience and know how to coach and motivate people inside and outside the organization.

Are skilled in combining business insights with IT knowledge to create value for the customer
Are outgoing, trustworthy and able to inspire the customer, the end-user, senior management and your team

Have a high degree of flexibility in connection with your tasks
You will be reporting to the Director for Defence Services. It will be an advantage if you have military knowledge or experience, but it is not a requirement. Certification and practical experience within SCRUM is a must. Experience and certifications within ITIL will be a plus. Because we also work with security classified projects, all company Defence personnel must have a Secret security clearance or be eligible to apply for one.
