Our client is delivering high-end ISR and navigational capabilities to the ADF. We have a position available for an Electronics Technician to be based in Newcastle, NSW. This is a key position on the team to support a diverse number of technologies in Defence, Government and Commercial areas.

The client is seeking candidates with experience in modern digital communications systems, including one or more of the following: RADAR, SONAR, Combat Systems, TAC Com and Battlespace Land Communication domains. This role requires candidates with good interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills, maturity, and a can-do attitude.

The Role:

• Act as an SME in your trade stream
• Act as a POC for internal and external stakeholders
• Identification, development, evaluation and recommendation of Installation, maintenance and repair of RF equipment
• Test and repair to specified requirements
• Undertaker reliability assessments
• Assist in learning and development, as well as a mentor for internal and external persons
• Provide subject matter expert advice

Experience Required:

• CERT III or IV in Electronics, or Electrical
• Experience in training and development is desirable
• Experience in maintenance and repair of RF technology
• Demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and manage Security issues.
• Experience in defence digital in-service systems
• Must hold a current NV1 security clearance
