Job description

We're supporting a major Defence program seeking a Senior Engineer with strong experience in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) and RF systems to support the delivery new Defence capabilities.

The role will work across system development, integration, and verification activities, engaging closely with technical stakeholders and contributing to the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-performance Defence systems.

NV1 clearance and Defence experience are preferred, though we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience who are eligible and open to obtaining clearance.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting RF and electromagnetic system design activities within a complex Defence program
  • Contributing to system-level architecture considerations including RF and grounding performance
  • Planning, conducting, and reporting on electromagnetic compatibility and performance testing
  • Supporting modelling and simulation activities to assess system behaviour in electromagnetic environments
  • Providing technical input across verification and validation activities
  • Supporting compliance with relevant Defence engineering and safety standards
  • Working closely with technical stakeholders to solve engineering issues and provide guidance
  • Contributing to engineering artefacts across the system lifecycle (concept through to acceptance)
  • Supporting documentation, reporting, and technical review activities

What we're looking for:
  • Degree-qualified Engineer (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Electronic, or related discipline
  • Strong background in E3, RF engineering, or electromagnetic systems in complex environments
  • Defence experience highly regarded (or experience in similarly complex regulated industries)
  • Exposure to RF test equipment and/or electromagnetic modelling tools
  • Understanding of system integration, verification, and validation processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical teams
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities in a complex program environment
