Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.
These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Project Officers assist in the operations of a Project/Program/Portfolio Office and the delivery of projects.
Initial contract duration: 12 months
Extension term: 12 months
Number of extensions: 2
Location of work: ACT
Working arrangements: Onsite. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide operational support to project management and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements.
- Accountable to lead the development and maintenance of project planning and processes in accordance with agreed processes and procedures.
- Research, draft and prepare briefs, correspondence and reports including supporting the development and submission of finance related documentation and/or submissions for committee consideration.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders in relation to specific project requirements.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Certification in project methodology such as PRINCE2, Agile etc..
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Must be an Australian citizen with TSPV security clearance.
- Measurement: Level 4 (SFIA)Identifies and prioritises appropriate measures, scales, and targets. Supports projects, functions or teams in the development of measurement methods. Specifies base and derived measures which support agreed information needs. Specifies how to collect and store the data for each required measure. Provides guidance on collection of data. Designs reports and reporting formats.
- Methods and tools: Level 3 (SFIA)Provides support on the use of existing methods and tools. Configures methods and tools within a known context. Creates and updates the documentation of methods and tools.
- Project management: Level 4 (SFIA)Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects. Works alone or with a small team actively participating in all phases of the project. Applies appropriate project management methods and tools. Identifies, assesses and manages risks effectively. Agrees project approach with stakeholders and prepares realistic project plans (including scope, schedule, quality, risk and communication plans). Tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate. Monitors costs, times, quality and resources used takes action where these exceed agreed tolerances.
- Quality management: Level 4 (SFIA) Assists in the development of new or improved practices and organisational processes or standards. Assists projects, functions or teams in planning the quality management for their area of responsibility. Facilitates localised improvements to the quality system or services.
