We've partnered with a Sydney-based robotics business building technology with active use across commercial and defence maritime sectors. They support defence, research organisations and offshore energy companies in reaching areas which are otherwise inaccessible through traditional means.

Our client is looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer to take technical ownership of the product with support of the engineering team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the software and robotics technical architecture and roadmap, along with software development and implementation.

This role will be particularly interesting to people who not only are interested in software and robotics engineering, but engaging with leadership and customers, technical product ownership, and having opportunities for growth in the future.

What required of you:

• Minimum of 5 years experience writing real-time, production software applications on embedded Linux systems in C/C++
• Extensive experience in ROS and robotics development in the maritime or aligned sectors
• Technical leadership experience in software design and architecture
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software or mechatronics engineering, with an appreciation for further post-graduate degrees
