Due to a spike in workload, a premium Defence Engineering client in Sydney is seeking up to 4 Systems Engineers to support on a 6 month engagement.
You will be working on Defence projects in one or more of the following key technology domains: Communications, Command & Control, Navigation or Simulation & Training.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to perform in all phases of the engineering product development life cycle, including planning and coordination, user needs analysis & requirements definition, architecture & design definition and analysis, system implementation, integration & test, configuration & documentation and system support definition.
Ideally you will have a specialisation on one of the key technology domains above (not essential) and an awareness of the entire engineering process (essential). You may not necessarily be required or assigned to perform tasks in each life-cycle phase but be capable of executing within a project team that sits across; Tactical Communications, Tactical Data Link, Network Design and Management, Command & Control and Platform Integration.
You will be expected to perform multiple tasks in the context of a larger development team. Therefore you will need to successfully collaborate with a multi-function team of experts in accomplishing tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
- Formal training in systems engineering and/or configuration management
- You hold either a Baseline or NV1 level Security Clearance. (Essential)
- Minimum of three years of experience with Systems Engineering and other lifecycle processes including Configuration Management, Integrated Logistic Support or other Specialty Engineering methods
- Experience in the Defence Industry, including use of export controlled information
- Experience in the use of engineering tools
