Our client is a global Prime for Australia and International Defence programs and offers world-class training, career growth and experiences of a lifetime to work on some of the most interesting and advanced technical projects existing in industry today. Based at Osborne Ship-yard, SA, this role will be a supporting a large team of engineering and security classified services for the Australian Defence Force and its ever-evolving capability needs, in particular for the newest Warships being built for the RAN.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and or maintain ICT Systems Security requirements and documentation including, System Overview Document (SOD)/Concept of Operations (CONOPS), System Risk Management Plan(s) (SRMPs), Statement Of Applicability (SoA), System Security Plan(s) (SSPs), Incident Response Plan(s) (IRPs), Disaster Recovery Plan(s) (DRPs), Continuous Monitoring Plan (CMP), and Vulnerability Management Plan (VMP).
  • Develop or contribute to the development of a number of ICT Systems Security Risk Assessments and associated security artefacts to support certification and accreditation of the system(s). Maintain the Product Security documents/artefacts throughout the life of the project.
  • Apply knowledge of good security industry practices for mitigating security risk and utilise tools and technologies to aid secure design and development with guidance. Perform analyses to define and characterise the system and its components and identify product security vulnerabilities in security architectures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of ICT Systems Security Engineering work packages.
  • Contribute to the conduct of investigations into technologies, exploits, security bulletins and information regarding threats/vulnerabilities that are potentially damaging to AC-C2CS systems, reputation or services.
  • Monitor and improve security accreditation processes.
  • Undertake engineering work under a system lifecycle management framework and in accordance with the customer mandated technical regulatory framework.

Ideal candidate will have

  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain to a minimum of NV2. (MUST have a current or reinstatable NV1 clearance).
  • Strong time management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Previous Systems Security Engineering experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and Cyber Security.
  • Experience with systems engineering, and all stages of the engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience and knowledge of ICT Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) in Defence and/or Federal Government.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Defence Security Policies and Standards including, Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM), Australian Communication Security Instructions (ACSIs).
  • Knowledge of the current Cyber Security landscape and the architecture of the applicable Defence ICT environment(s).
