About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to lead and oversee all commercial activities across the full project lifecycle including contractual relationships, managing customer expectations and leading legal and contract negotiations at a high level in a complex environment. You will also be a key point of contact between the customer, Project Managers and Project Teams.

Responsibilities:
- Advise project teams on contractual risks, obligations, and compliance within a Defence environment.
- Support and lead complex commercial and contractual negotiations in alignment with customer expectations.
- Manage Defence contract changes, deviations, and amendments in alignment with Commonwealth frameworks.
- Ensure accurate documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to Defence procurement requirements.
- Provide guidance and training on Defence contracting processes, policies, and best practices.
- Provide guidance and training to project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in engineering, finance, law, or commerce - understanding of contract law
- Strong contract negotiation experience, preferably in a defence or IT environment
- Familiarity with Capture and Bid methodologies
- Experience in Defence, Telecommunications, or Satellite Communications.
- Contract management and risk/opportunity identification
- Experience with new bids and contract changes
