Naval Engineering Superintendent

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Naval Engineering Superintendent to work onboard a vessel, ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and engineering integrity of shipboard systems. This role is ideal for engineers with maritime experience who can operate in hands-on, safety-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as engineering authority onboard for mechanical, electrical, and auxiliary systems
• Oversee maintenance, defect rectification, and system reliability
• Manage engineering changes, technical documentation, and compliance with maritime regulations
• Liaise with crew, OEMs, dockyards, and shore-based teams
• Support trials, upgrades, and return-to-service activities

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in maritime or naval engineering, preferably onboard vessels
• Strong understanding of shipboard systems and maintenance practices
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architecture, or Systems Engineering
• Comfortable operating in safety-critical, regulated environments
