Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Maintenance) to be based in Brisbane. This role will require someone with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, who has a good deal of experience working within an aerospace maintenance workshop. This role will be supporting both defence and commercial customers out of their Brisbane facility.
Ideally, candidates will have a good understanding of customer support and relations, assist in developing marketing plans and apply business improvement fundamentals. Candidates will be expected to have business acumen to improve performance including, having a track record in budget management. The successful candidate will join a growing team with a major Commercial Defence Company in the Aerospace sector.
The Role:
- Establishing and maintaining a maintenance support network
- Multi-Function Team Management experience
- Develop and monitor KPIs
- Supervise Managers in day-to-day operations
- Support individual training plans
- Oversee QA needs for maintenance functions
- Track repairable items
- Prepare and present monthly reports
- Conduct weekly production meetings
- Oversee maintenance and Quality audits and standards
- Managing site surveys
- Support senior management with logistics and maintenance issues
You will require:
- Proven Maintenance Management experience
- Tertiary level of Business Cert or equivalent experience
- Aerospace Engineering qualifications desirable
- Monitor staff hours vs output
- A background in Aerospace/ Aviation industry
- Thorough knowledge of the DASR/EASA including CASA reg
- Traceable commercial maintenance experience
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Maintenance Management
- Excellent Communications skills
- Experience in staff development
- Must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to gain an AGSVA clearance
