Our client is seeking an experienced cybersecurity engineer to work on cutting-edge technology supporting the ADF. We're looking for a cybersecurity engineer to help protect Australian Defence programs through hands-on security design, threat modelling, and system accreditation. The successful candidate will be working side by side with engineering teams and the customer to develop solutions that will redefine the future of this technology.
Candidates will be collaborating with functional peers, as well as the wider global cybersecurity network. This role is critical to develop capability for the warfighter. This opportunity will help develop and provide the upkeep of defence products in the ICT space.
The Role:
- Design and test ICT systems, identify vulnerabilities, and implement controls
- Perform threat modelling and establish mitigations for Defence systems
- Lead security automation initiatives and compliance improvements
- Propose new cyber tools
- Develop security documentation, SOPs, and manage accreditation activities
- Work directly with Defence customers to deliver trusted security solutions
- Mentor team members on security design and compliance
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience as an ICT security officer or tech support specialist
- A strong background in Cyber Security
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux/Android, VMs, network security, and scripting
- Understanding of PSPF, DSPF, and ISM controls for system accreditation
- Experience developing and maintaining SOPs
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ICT, or Computer Science
- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar)
- Must be an Australian citizen to apply
- Able to gain an AGSVA clearance (NV1 minimum)
