Our client is at the forefront of cutting-edge technology development for the Defence & Space sectors and is growing rapidly to support their current programs and projects!

They are currently seeking experienced Project Managers with exposure to Defence programs/projects who are looking to expand their skills within state-of-the-art launch, aerospace, and mission-critical programs.

These are permanent, full-time positions offering a rewarding salary and strong career growth opportunities. Experience in risk management, contracts negotiation, tender and bid proposals, and project delivery is key. You must have previously worked in a Defence Industry Project Management role.

The Role:

  • Ensure and maintain safe work practices and enforce safety risk management
  • Fulfil and manage contract requirements
  • Meet or exceed financial baseline requirements
  • Drive growth in annual budget and maintain high standards of performance measurement
  • Support, maintain, and encourage the project team, including operational and engineering members
  • Develop reports on project progress and business management
  • Provide leadership to ensure a high-functioning, professional, and safe team environment
  • Participate in tender review and proposal development
  • Manage project performance and deliver updates and reporting to customers

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager or similar within Defence (CASG/ADF or Industry)
  • Experience in Risk Management or Risk Mitigation (highly desirable)
  • Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Project or Business Management or Engineering
  • Background in aerospace, launch, or land-based systems desirable
  • Australian Citizenship essential; Baseline clearance or above (highly desirable)
  • Exposure to and experience working under ASDEFCON framework
