Project Support Officers are required to work within the Australian Cyber Security Centre to undertake the administrative support for a range of technically orientated projects.

The Project Support Officer will be responsible for undertaking a range of general administrative tasks including maintaining Risk Registers, Program and Project SharePoint sites and configuration management of project artefacts within the Defence EDRMS.

The candidate will have a proven history of working in complex Defence projects and contributing to the organisational capability within the project.

The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility Level 3-PROF 3: Uses recommended portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking. Sets up project files, compiles and distributes reports. Provides administrative services to project boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. Provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.

The position is full time onsite in our Canberra Offices only.

Essential criteria

  1. Maintain program and project SharePoint sites; specifically setting up and maintaining access controls and storing documents for sharing with team members.
  2. Maintain program and project Risk Registers; including regular reviews and updates; advising team members if they have been nominated to execute risk treatment; and facilitating project risk workshops.
  3. Maintain project documentation including establishment of a document library and control methods for finalised project documents. Ensure that all final documents meet audit requirements and are easily retrievable.
  4. Collaborate within the specialised project procurement team to assist with delivery of capability through complex procurements.
  5. Perform configuration management within the Defence Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
  6. Provide general office and administrative support to the Program Office.

Desirable criteria

  1. Demonstrated administration and organisational skills within Defence's Desktop Environments.
  2. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
  3. Experience with the Commonwealth complex procurement process, including the tendering process, and managing contracts, is desirable.
