RFQ-ASD-LH-03786 Security Analyst

Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.

These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Security Analyst under broad direction from the Commonwealth will be responsible for a range of activities, as identified below, contributing to the ICT Security governance measures in the design, build, test and operation of ICT systems and network services to support the delivery of modern mobility solutions for senior government officials, including network, computing systems, desktop delivery solutions, complex gateway services, cloud services, and secure mobility solutions.

Working arrangements: Onsite. WFH cannot be accommodated. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. Candidates required to have PV clearance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform analysis of system security based on a threat driven approach
  • Analyse threat intelligence for system specific threats
  • Monitor security events and information for security incidents
  • Develop and use incident response plans and playbooks
  • Analyse security vulnerabilities and propose solutions
  • Review current system security controls for vulnerabilities
  • Develop procedures to monitor and analyse security information and events
  • Guide technical staff on implementation of security controls

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience working in a SOC as a Security Analyst
  • Experience using Splunk Enterprise Security, or SaaS Security Solutions
  • Experience with Network Detection and Response (NDR) platform
  • Experience with a Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) platform
  • Experience conducting incident response

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Essential criteria

  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential
  • Internal and Statutory Audit: Level 3 (CIISEC) Contributes to security audits under supervision.
  • Legal & Regulatory Environment and Compliance: Level 3 (CIISEC) Understands legislation and regulation applicable to own work, i.e. within own or client organisations. Undertakes updates of Information Security policies and standards to comply with legislation and regulation under supervision.
  • Specialist advice: Level 4 (SFIA) Provides detailed and specific advice regarding the application of their specialism to the organisation's planning and operations. Actively maintains knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms. Recognises and identifies the boundaries of their own specialist knowledge. Where appropriate, collaborates with other specialists to ensure advice given is appropriate to the organisation's needs.

  • The extent to which the candidate demonstrates in their submission (including CV) the ability to perform the Job Duties and Responsibilities set out in the RFQ.
