RFQ-ASD-LH-04018 Senior Windows Engineer (IDAM)
Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.
These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).
ABOUT THIS ROLE
ASD requires a Windows Engineer (Identity Access Manager - IDAM). The Windows Engineer securing and protecting Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Windows environments, as well as responding to security incidents and threats targeting those systems. They work to harden systems, manage access, and ensure the overall security of the Windows environment within an organization. The Windows Engineer role will assess critical infrastructure systems in a collaborative team environment and contribute to specific advice on hardening and defending systems against advanced threats.

Working arrangements: Onsite. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. Candidates required to have a NV1 security clearance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess identity, authentication and access systems for misconfigurations and security issues.
- Provide recommendations for improving cyber security posture across a broad range of systems
- Communicate with a broad range of stakeholders (Technical and non-technical), including conducting workshops to highlight security issues and their associated fixes.
- Collaborate with teams to automate and improve access processes. Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience in administering and securing Microsoft Active Directory and/or other directory services.
- Experience in administering and securing Microsoft Entra and M365
- Experience in deploying and securing Privileged access management (PAM) solutions (CyberArk, Manage Engine, Beyond Trust etc).
- Experience in Cloud based technologies and solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Essential criteria
- Understanding of IAM Principles
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance
- Experience with Active directory or other directory services
- Experience in Cloud based technologies and solutions (eg. AWS, Azure AD)
- Understanding of network security concepts and scripting and automation
- Australian Citizenship and a NV1 security clearance is essential
Desirable criteria
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Knowledge in database concepts
- Experience in Analytical and problem solving within cyber security incidents
- Knowledge in access and vulnerability management
