Kinexus is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to support an innovative Flight Management System project in Brisbane. You will join a collaborative team at the forefront of developing a system that integrates drones, air taxis, and other uncrewed aircraft safely into Australian airspace. This role will leverage your engineering skills in systems design, integration, and testing, helping shape the future of aviation safety and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical interface for customers and internal stakeholders.
- System Integration: Coordinate and contribute to the design, setup, configuration, and testing phases of the system implementation.
- Requirements Analysis: Evaluate customer requirements for technical feasibility and contribute to detailed project documentation.
- Architecture Design: Assist in developing robust system architecture, optimising for performance and cost efficiency.
- Data Management: Integrate geospatial and aeronautical information into system workflows.
- Risk & Security Management: Evaluate technical risks and ensure robust security management throughout the system lifecycle.
- Training & Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and conduct training on system use and features.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Technical Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in technical roles, ideally as a Systems Engineer, Integration Engineer, or Test Automation Engineer within mission-critical environments.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in one or more areas:
- ICT, cybersecurity, computer networking
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Containerization technologies
- Programming or scripting
- Requirements management
- System testing
- Aviation Knowledge: Domain knowledge in aviation operations, air traffic management (ATM), unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), or related fields highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to produce detailed technical documentation.
