RFQ-ASD- LH-04663 Test Analyst

Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.

These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Software testers will be responsible, under general direction, for executing test plans and test cases, in accordance with the projects testing strategy. They will ensure traceability to requirements, raise defects and work collaboratively with delivery staff in relation to testing and regression activities.

Location of work: QLD, ACT, VIC

Working arrangements: Onsite. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. Candidates required to have NV1 clearance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute test plans and test cases in accordance with the projects testing strategy.
  • Document test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
  • Record actions and results, maintain a defect register and work closely with delivery team to progress defect resolutions
  • Conduct other testing related tasks within the scope of the stated APS level, as required by the business area.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Testing experience in an Agile software development/delivery environment.
  • Testing certification desirable

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • User Acceptance testing (BPTS) level 3 Follows agreed standards and techniques to devise test cases and scenarios based on pre-defined acceptance criteria. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks.
  • Functional testing (TEST) level 3 Designs detailed functional test cases and scripts, covering various scenarios and boundary values. Actively participates in requirement and design reviews, refining test plans based on insights gained. Undertakes structured exploratory testing to investigate and verify functionality. Prepares test data, configures environments and automates repeatable tests. Executes tests, logs defects with detailed information and analyses results to assess system functionality.
  • Non Functional testing (NFTS) level 3 Designs non-functional test cases and scripts, mapping to pre-set criteria for system qualities and characteristics. Prepares and manages test data to reflect real-world scenarios. Configures test environments, collaborates with stakeholders to clarify requirements and automates repeatable tests. Executes tests, providing thorough coverage of non-functional attributes.
  • Process Testing (PRTS) level 3 Design process test cases and scripts that cover end-to-end business scenarios. Actively participates in requirement and design reviews to refine test plans. Prepares and manages test data that accurately mirrors business processes. Analyses and reports on outcomes, focusing on impacts to business processes.
  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential
