Our client is delivering a high end mission ready capability in support of the ADF. The role is for an experienced Verification and Validation Engineering Manager to join a very experienced team who are in the production phases delivering a high end ISR capability. This capability is cutting edge and will give the warfighter the capability they need to win the fight.

The V&V Engineering Manager will lead all aspects and deliverables of the project. The V&V Manager will also actively participate in working groups, test events, and review engineering contract deliverables.

The V&V Manager will be responsible for managing all verification and validation aspects of the engineering program. This will include the ongoing development and maintenance of the Project Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and the execution of tasks and activities for the achievement of V&V outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Project Test and Evaluation Master Plan.
  • Develop V&V Plans.
  • Plan, document, and conduct Verification & Validation activities (protocols and reports) for both new and current product designs
  • Identification of project V&V risks, such as identifying any resource deficiencies that may compromise the achievement of V&V outcomes.
  • A traceable history in production and development
  • Management, oversight and witnessing of acceptance verification, validation and commissioning activities including review and recommendation of approval for Prime Contract V&V Contract Data Requirements.
  • Planning, conducting, and reporting on Commissioning activities.

Qualification & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline (electronics / electrical).
  • At least 10 years' experience in Verification and Validation.
  • Strong experience working in a complex delivery organisation.
  • Must have leadership experience.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers
  • Previous test and evaluation experience
  • Ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels and across the customer/contractor boundaries
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible in complex program environments
  • Clear understanding of the Defence capability lifecycle
  • Must hold an active Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and ITAR compliant
