Our client is seeking a candidate experienced in defence space operations, based in the ACT. They are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in Defence space operations and exercise planning to support the integration of space capabilities into the ADF and coalition training activities.
This role is particularly suited to former Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) officers (ideally O4-O5) with operational experience in the space domain. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring space-based capabilities are effectively incorporated into major ADF training exercises.
Working closely with senior Defence stakeholders, the position will act as a primary interface between joint training leadership and the Air Force and allied partners to coordinate and deliver space-related effects across large-scale exercises.

Key Responsibilities
- Integrate space domain capabilities and effects into major ADF and coalition exercises
- Support planning and coordination activities for joint collective training events
- Liaise with Air Force, joint headquarters, and allied organisations to align exercise objectives
- Provide specialist advice on space operations within multi-domain training environments
- Assist in the development and execution of large-scale Defence exercise programs
- Minimum 10 years' experience supporting Defence operations and large-scale exercise planning
- Background in joint or coalition operational planning highly regarded
- Previous experience within Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is desirable
- Strong understanding of multi-domain operations and planning frameworks
- Willingness to undertake periodic domestic and international travel (approximately 3-6 trips annually)
- Highly developed communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- PSC(J) qualification desirable
- Current NV2 security clearance required
