Our client is delivering high-end ISR capabilities to the ADF. We have a position available for an Electronics Technician to be based in Brisbane, QLD. This is a key position on the team to support a diverse number of technologies in Defence, Government and Commercial areas.
The client is seeking candidates with experience in modern digital communications systems, including one or more of the following: RADAR, SONAR, Combat Systems to Battlespace Land Communication domains. This role requires candidates with good interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills, maturity, and a can-do attitude.
The Role:
- Act as an SME in your trade stream
- Act as a POC for internal and external stakeholders
- Identification, development, evaluation and recommendation of Installation, maintenance and repair of RF equipment
- Test and repair to specified requirements
- Undertaker reliability assessments
- Assist in learning and development, as well as a mentor for internal and external persons
- Provide subject matter expert advice
Experience Required:
- CERT IV in Communications, Electronics, or Electrical
- Experience in training and development is desirable
- Experience in maintenance and repair of RF technology
- Demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and manage Security issues.
- Experience in defence digital in-service systems
- Must hold a current NV1 security clearance
