Join a leading organisation in the Australian defence sector as a Financial Administration Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities. This pivotal role ensures the financial integrity of operations supporting critical defence programs and contracts.

The successful candidate will have experience managing a small finance team and be eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all financial accounting functions, ensuring compliance with defence and government financial standards.
  • Oversee tax compliance including GST, BAS, FBT, Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing reporting.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, payroll and superannuation reconciliations, and project cost settlements.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Receivable functions to maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate external financial audits.
  • Conduct cash flow management, daily bank reconciliations, and risk register updates.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS15 for revenue recognition and maintain accurate records within SAP.
  • Manage a small team.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Accounting/Finance major).
  • CPA or CA qualified (or eligible for membership).
  • Proven experience in financial management within a defence environment
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Experience working with SAP and familiarity with ASDEFCON or similar contractual frameworks will be highly regarded.
  • Baseline Clearance or ability to obtain.
