Kinexus is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Simulation and Training division of a cutting-edge Defence technology organisation. In this full-time, 6-month contract role, you'll be based onsite in Sydney, playing a vital part in the design, fabrication, and production engineering of mechanical systems for next-gen simulation and training platforms.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing mechanical products for training and simulation systems
• Translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs and technical documentation
• Creating and updating CAD drawings
• Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
• Supporting fabrication and supplier engagement
• Collaborating with engineers to get quality product out the door-on time and on budget

What You'll Bring:

• Mechanical engineering qualifications (bachelor's degree)
• Experience with mechanical assemblies -defence or aerospace
• Proficiency in CAD tools like Inventor or Fusion 360
• Familiarity with tools like Vault, Windchill, or Teamcenter is a bonus
• A team-focused mindset and willingness to be the engine room of the team

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Australian Citizenship: Required due to Defence project security standards.
• Security Clearance: Must have a BASELINE security clearance as a minimum
