We are currently working with our client to identify a Senior Contracts Manager based in Sydney. Responsibility includes all customer, partner, and subcontractor contracts and relationships within a project, for the entire project lifecycle. The role requires a dynamic individual who understands the commercial and legal correlation between the company, the client and the project(s). Candidates who have the drive and tenacity to work through complex projects and have good contract negotiation skills should apply.

As a Senior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for drafting and collaborating with senior leaders by ensuring fair and equitable treatment under law and understanding contract problem resolution paths, including formal dispute avoidance and/or resolution

The Role:

  • Develop Negotiation Strategies
  • Conduct assessments on all change proposals/requests and advise
  • Manage overall Commercial and risk for each assigned project
  • Prepare, approve and execute contract change orders and contract amendments.
  • Plan negotiation strategies, with legal acumen for optimum results
  • Build Non-Disclosure Agreements, teaming arrangements, sales agreements etc
  • Guide and train managers on best contract management practices

Experience Required:

  • A proven track record in contract management and negotiation
  • A degree in commercial law or appropriate experience, and a combination of education and skills
  • A traceable history in contract management and risk/opportunity identification
  • You will have ASDEFCON contract law experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • Good customer relations and communications skills.
  • Must have experience in Complex communication and or Critical Systems
  • A track record as a Contract Manager is a must
  • Legal experience in a commercial environment is critical
  • Applicants MUST hold a Baseline Clearance at a minimum
