Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

• Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work priorities and managing workflows to ensure accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements.
• Accountable for installation projects, providing effective team leadership and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement during project work.
• Lead the development and implementation of policies and strategies and the evaluation of business outcomes to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of ICT systems administration.
• Maintain and apply knowledge, experience and skills to meet capability needs, utilising hardware and software products relevant to systems administration, current functionality and Defence's business domain.
• Use experience in change management, customer service and conflict resolution to maintain the continuity of capability delivery, ICT operation and business functions.
• Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement solutions and goal of a non-routine or contingency nature.
• Solve issues for a defined range of unpredictable problems following established operating policies and procedures.
• Evaluation project to understand critical factors for success and engage activities or technical specialists to achieve continuous improvement.

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields.
• Proficient in operating systems, networking, database management and security protocols.
