Kinexus is Australia's oldest defence-specialist recruitment agency having spent the last 25 years supporting Australia's national security industries. We have partnered with a global aerospace technology business with programs within civilian and defence industries in Australia. They are searching for two Software System Engineers with experience working on safety and performance critical systems to join the business and support two different major aerospace contracts as they transition from acquisition to sustainment.

In both roles, you will be the SME in support and upgrades for a range of highly specialised and complex software and hardware aerospace products deployed at airports and air bases across Australia, utilising strong software and systems engineering skills paired with high level customer service skills to solve complex issues.

What we're looking for:

• Someone highly skilled in software engineering and application support of bespoke, safety and performance critical applications.
• Strong skills in systems and hardware engineering of complex devices and products used by aerospace or aerospace-aligned industries.
• An experience in scripting with Bash.
• Excellent customer service skills with an understanding of ITSM systems such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Experience working in the defence or aerospace industry is highly regarded.

This role requires eligibility for a NV1 security clearance and ITAR compliance, hence only Australian citizens can be considered for this position.
