Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance is essential.

These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).

ABOUT THIS ROLE
A senior IRAP Assessor / Cyber Security Specialist, with cyber security and training expertise to deliver a new assessment framework and training course to support the new ASD Essentials guidance. These packages will support major Commonwealth stakeholders in effectively meeting their policy responsibilities for managing their cyber maturity.

Location of work: ACT, VIC

Working arrangements: Onsite. Candidates from VIC must be willing and available to travel to the ACT as required. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. Candidates required to have NV1 clearance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide subject matter expertise and deliver the ASD Essentials Assessment Process Guide in line with the new ASD Essentials guidance being developed.
  • Provide subject matter and technical expertise to assist ASD in the development and delivery of the ASD Essentials Assessment of Enterprise Systems training course and micro credentials for subsequent 'chapters' in the new ASD Essentials framework, such as Operational Technology.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support consultative forums and inform change management and communications across the ASD Essentials and IRAP assessor community and other key stakeholders across Whole of Government.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support the alignment of ASD Essentials training with the new IRAP 2.0 training course and associated assessor and assessment uplift activities, including designing and delivering a Whole of Government cyber maturity and risk intelligence function.
  • Provide expert advice and contribute to the upkeep of the IRAP and ASD Essentials training labs and related training / communications materials / cyber toolbox.
  • Provide support and advice to the Department of Home Affairs, DTA and other related agencies with respect to the PSPF, Hosting Certification Framework, and any other Whole of Government cyber security initiatives that align with IRAP and ASD Essentials, as required.
  • Provide quality assurance of IRAP assessment reports, and other key IRAP artefacts, as required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Cyber Security Advice and Assessment expertise.
  • Training Development expertise.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated 3 years' or more experience in the delivery of complex cyber security policy, security guidance or cybersecurity training, and security assessments on behalf of a National Intelligence Community agency or other Cybersecurity organisation.
  • Demonstrated 2 years' or more experience in ICT security assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of an IRAP Assessor and relevant security policies and frameworks.
  • Proven capability and capacity to provide the Services as described in the key duties and responsibilities.
  • Australian Citizenship and a NV1 security clearance is essential

Desirable Criteria

  • Bachelor or postgraduate qualifications in Cyber Security or ICT.
  • Other relevant industry recognised cyber security certifications.
  • Experience in the development or delivery of Australian national-level cyber security training programs.
