We're seeking a Systems Engineer to join our client's team supporting the delivery of advanced communications capability within a Defence environment.
This role will suit someone with a strong background in electronics and communications systems, with experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle in complex technical programs.

- Contract length: 6 Months, likely to extend
- Location: VIC, onsite requirement
- NV1 clearance required
Key Responsibilities
- Apply systems engineering methodology across requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation activities
- Support development and integration of complex communications and electronic systems
- Work across Linux-based environments and IP networking architectures
- Contribute to system design, documentation, and technical reporting
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, Defence stakeholders, and external partners
- Support system testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a Systems Engineering role
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electronics, Communications, Networks, or related engineering discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Linux operating systems and IP networking
- Eligible to obtain Australian Defence security clearance and comply with ITAR requirements
Desirable Experience
- Defence industry experience applying systems engineering processes across the lifecycle
- Current NV1 Security Clearance
- Experience with Voice over IP, radio, or telephony communications systems
