What do you actually do?
I wear a lot of hats in my role. I am responsible for managing the RPO Kinexus run for a major Defence MSP which has been successfully running for over 7 years. Alongside this I am responsible for some of our business operation functions including the CRM system we use. In my P&C role I look after internal recruitment, performance, engagement and organisational development initiatives to help the team continue to perform to the highest standards they have set.
What's one thing you care about getting right for the people you work with?
That the systems that are being used are being used correctly and are supporting our work effort.
What does your team rely on you for?
I help our staff in a whole range of areas. I have been in the recruitment industry a long time having worked in both customer facing recruitment roles and more recently business support so I tend to be the go-to for everything!
How did you get here?
I started my career in recruitment in the UK recruiting IT, technical contract roles and HR roles. I was then given the opportunity to move to Australia to help run the Melbourne office of a successful IT recruitment business. When I joined Kinexus I originally ran the Melbourne team and since then have taken on a number of roles throughout the business.
Why do you do the work that you do?
Kinexus are in a unique position to support an industry that protects each and every person in Australia. The fact I am part of this really is what gets me out of bed everyday.
