What do you actually do?

I support my team to be the best they can be in support of the defence sector and role they play. Externally I help companies understand people and workforce trends that will help them deliver capability to our Defence force.

 

What kinds of functions, processes, or areas of the business do you support across the organisation?

Everyone and everything – I support wherever my team goes. I try to understand the industry from a macro and micro level – and hopefully help my team understand the high-level strategic view and direction the defence industry is taking, which in turn helps everyone have good conversations with the people they support.

 

What do your team rely on your for?

Experience, knowledge and patience! Not always in that order.

 

Why do you do what you do?

I often get this question when I interview people. And my answer is always the same - we are part of an industry that has a great purpose – to keep Australia and its people safe. We support that industry through not just recruiting and placing highly skilled people who drive that capability but helping all of our candidates and clients to make good decisions – decisions that support that purpose

 

Something people might not know?

In another life I would spend my time flipping houses.
