What do you actually do?

I help Defence and technology organisations find highly specialised talent, particularly in areas where the right people are hard to find and even harder to move. Most of my day is spent working with clients to understand what they really need and connecting them with professionals who can actually deliver on complex projects.

 

What kind of skill sets do you work across?

I mainly work across Defence and government projects, recruiting technical specialists across areas like IT Infrastructure, cyber security, cloud, testing, and vulnerability assessments. I often work with candidates who hold security clearances such as NV1, NV2 and TSPV, particularly within Defence, intelligence and national security environments.

 

What do your clients rely on you for?

Understanding the difference between what a job description says and what a project actually needs. My clients rely on me to find people who can genuinely deliver in complex Defence environments, not just candidates who look good on paper.

 

How did you get here?

I started my career in IT recruitment, working closely with technical teams and organisations that needed specialised skills across infrastructure, software and emerging technologies. Along the way I developed a strong interest in the people behind the technology and how the right hire can make a real difference to a project. I’ve always had a love for travel, which eventually led me to the other side of the world and into the Australian defence industry.

 

Something people might not know?

Outside of work, I’m usually following the best club in the land and all the world Manchester City F.C., finding a good pub, and having a laugh with friends. I’m a big believer that a bit of humour and not taking life too seriously goes a long way.
