I’m really motivated to make the most of Kinexus’ unique position in the defence sector and help people, no matter what their situation, to de-risk their decision making and make the most of their opportunities.

What is your favourite thing about being Director & Defence Sector Lead?

I love my Sector Leader role as it gives me the opportunity and the responsibility to help people in the defence sector make great recruitment and workforce planning decisions. It is so important that we get the next few years ‘right’ when it comes to growing defence industry to support our national security objectives. I know, sounds pretty serious, and it is, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t have a lot of fun along the way!

What is your number one piece of interview advice?  

Don’t finish an interview leaving the interviewer with any lingering doubts! At the end of the interview, always ask the interviewer/s if there are any outstanding concerns about your suitability for the role. This will give you a chance to address any doubts that otherwise could be used to rule you out in the post interview washup.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?

Car racing. I love the blending of the technical, physical and emotional aspects of the sport. It is also a team sport where everyone must bring 100%. Working in a team to compete and be the best we could, would be very rewarding.  It’s ok to dream, isn’t it?
